Our office is committed to providing care for special needs patients. These patients are often at a higher risk for oral health issues and our team can give the additional care needed to help these patients keep their smiles healthy. First, we meet with the caregiver of the patient to discuss the individual needs of the patient. Then we bring the patient in for a cleaning to evaluate their tolerance level and to see what work needs to be done. If the patient tolerates the visit well, we will move on to treatment. If it is determined that the patient needs more specialized care, we will be happy to refer them to an office better equipped to handle their needs.
We work with you and the patient to create a treatment plan designed to meet the patient’s needs and their ability to tolerate dental treatment. We will make sure to explain the treatment process; address any concerns the patient or caregiver may have and work to ensure that the patient has a positive dental experience.
